"I was injured in December 2002 from a gunshot wound to my lower back. Since September of 2005 I have participated in recovery training with the help of The Scholarship Fund For SCI Recovery through the Don't Just Sit There Foundation. I have made amazing progress during this time and I continue to work towards my goals of strengthening leg muscles and back muscles in order to reach my ultimate goal of a full recovery."

C6/7
"Six years ago I was in a car accident that broke my neck at C6/7 and I was paralyzed from the chest down. My hands didn't move at all. I was in a power chair. When you're diagnosed Complete Asia A you quickly learn that nothing will be given to you and I've fought for every improvement, large or small. I still have a ways to go to reach my goal of a full recovery but every day brings me one step closer."

C6
"I'm Laura Dominguez and I have a C6 SCI. Since the time of my injury in 2001, I have been determined and am fighting to reach my goal of walking again. In 2003 I underwent an adult stem cell surgery. This procedure, combined with continuous physical training, has helped me regain function, movement, and feeling. To this day I continue to overcome my injury and its affects, and I feel that I am on the edge of achieving my ultimate goal of recovery. ...or as I like to say, taking back what's mine."
Yves V.
C6/7
"My name's Yves, I am 33 years old and I came to Walk the Line from Switzerland. I had a snowboarding accident in April 2004 in a small Alp ski station. My diagnosis is complete C6-C7. I did rehabilitation for 7 months in the Swiss Paraplegic Center. The goal was to learn to live independently with a wheelchair. There was no possibility for physical recovery, they don't believe in it! I have used many therapies such as Ayurveda (Indian medicine), acupuncture, Tibetan bowls, reiki and many others. I replaced little by little all allopathic medicines with natural medicines. I eat and I live in a healthier way and I am now in better health. In September 2008 I was the first Swiss to have an olfactory tissue to spinal cord transplant surgery by Dr. Lima in Portugal. Two weeks after I left to the region of Detroit for 6 months, in the best recovery center, to my knowledge."
